Director's Message

Dear All,
Warm Greetings!

I am proud to serve as an Executive Director of Youth Vision (YV). Since 1985 we have dedicated ourselves to minimize drug and HIV and their consequences in Nepal. YV always stands an innovative and proactive organizaton to make positive differences in the lives of people who use drugs (PUDs) people living with HIV (PLHIVs) and in larger society as an ends result.
Therefore, Youth Vision has aligned its program and strategies considering the immediate as well as foreseeing the future challenges. Most importantly, we also feel privileged to contribute to materialize the national and international strategy to minimize drug use, HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis, sexual and reproductive health related problems and hepatitis.
Time flies, but we have memories and evidences to cherish. We have treaded quite long journey of almost 30 years and experienced both sweet and bumpy road too. Now, we are serving in eight major districts of Nepal. Partnership, networking, collaboration, local resource mobilization, inclusion and right base are our key approaches. Whereas, comprehensive services with integration of hepatitis C, tuberculosis and sexual reproductive health and rights are our main menu to ensure need based quality services to the targeted population.
YV is an ideal in terms of offering comprehensive service, establishing VCT, implementing Oral substitution therapy- Buprenorphine pharmacotherapy for the first time in Nepal, at the capacity of a nonprofit organization.
As we know, challenges appear in dynamic global context. Hence, time seeks our role to devise new strategies and programs by galvanizing diverse capacities we hold. Therefore, I kindly urge you all to join hand with us to contribute to positively transform our society by minimizing the consequences of drug use and HIV.

With best wishes

Mr. Jagdish Lohani,
